Gold Coast Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance support group meetings are held 7 nights a week, every week in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County.
Gold Coast DBSA Support Groups are provided for people who have depression or bipolar disorder (manic-depression) their family members and loved ones, to discuss topics related to living with these illnesses. FREE Depression Screening
If you’ve been feeling “down” for more than a few weeks or are having
difficulty functioning in daily life, you may be experiencing more than just
the “blues.” You may be suffering from clinical depression. In observance of
National Depression Screening Day, Broward Health is hosting FREE depression
screenings for the community. No appointments are necessary.

Chronic Disease Self-Management
Program
We are
offering a free Living Healthy
Program (Chronic Disease
Self-Management Program).
Broward Health is providing this
class in collaboration with the
ADRC - Aging & Disability
Resource Center, and it is
funded by the ADRC and Health
Foundation of South Florida. The
classes will be held on
Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 12:30
p.m., on October 13, 20, 27,
and November 3, 10, 17 in the
Community Education Room.
Registration is required as
seating is limited. This class
is for people 60 years old or
older who have a chronic health
condition and/or their
caregivers. The class teaches
people how to cope better with
their chronic condition.
Participants must plan to attend
all six classes.

FREE In-home and confidential intervention counseling services for the 55 year old or older adult who are having problems or at risk with prescription medications, alcohol, illicit drugs and depression

Free initial Assessment. Free Brief Intervention counseling sessions (if applicable). Free Referrals to community resources. Brite Depression Survey includes six follow up surveys. Compensation $40. Must be 65 years or older. Call for further eligibility requirements.

Would you like to help us with an important research project to benefit older adults,. and earn up to $40.00? We are asking older adults like you to take part in a University of South Florida research project. An interviewer would visit you to ask about your moods and experiences with services. This interview would takes about 60 - 90 minujtes. Then this interviewer would call you about once a month for 6 months to see how you are doing.
